The Science of Deduction

Anonymous asked: What sort of fans do you get on your website? I bet they're super nerdy.

I presume those who follow my blog are those interested in logic and science. Why are you here, if not for those reasons?

Terribly sorry I haven’t been making posts lately. In an effort to end my seemingly-perpetual boredom, I have been out and about. It seems that people, as a general rule, don’t appreciate the questions they pose in conversation to friends being answered by passersby.

As it so happens, my boredom persists even now, but I find myself in a location where I am both at a computer with internet access and at a computer on which I am logged into this website as myself (another thing I have noticed: people don’t tend to look kindly on making posts while logged in on their account. I don’t see the harm in it, but people seldom bring logic into their complaints).

Anonymous asked: Logging on from Bart's. I couldn't find my Browning this morning. I meant to go clean it, but it was out of the lock box. You know, the one on the desk in the... who am I kidding, of course you know. Just don't do anything illegal with it, alright? I expect to find the flat in good as condition as when I left. No shooting things, no killing people.. understand? And no, you may not shoot a corpse with my gun, either.

Alright, John.

Those rare childhood moments when Sherlock actually wanted to eat something without his mother forcing him.

This was one of my favourite experiments. My findings: Mycroft will give up even his most beloved cake if I make a “pouty face.”

It wasn’t even that good.

I don’t usually get that. Your gratitude is most appreciated.

Mrs. Hudson is trying to teach me how to knit, as I wear a lot of knit things.
I just like how they feel, you know? Warm enough to keep you nice, but not too thick because of the breath-ability of it.

John, it’s really not all that hard. I promise. Just imagine all the nice sweaters and scarves you can make Sherlock? Wouldn’t it be lovely?

Honestly, John, it’s not that difficult.

Anonymous asked: "So the question becomes: Do I know you?" - No. But I know you. And your brother... and John.

You are most intriguing. What brings you to my blog, then?
